60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-5)

60 mins on the flat is quite different to 60 mins on the hills. So it’s important to differentiate between the two and if you do a hilly easy run, to account for that extra training load and how it might impact the rest of your week.

This was fine, felt tired and still a bit stiff/sore from the weekend though. The few hills (200m) didn’t feel that easy but I didn’t struggle with any of it. No niggles, just fatigue!

Part of being an ultra runner I guess is that fatigue in training. I must admit I couldn’t face the hills and needed something easier, hence why I ran solo. As much as I love the group, occasionally putting my tunes on and getting some headspace is nice. Well done Sam. Hope the tracky bottoms are ok?
