60 Mins Easy-MP

LOAD: 24

20 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)
20 Mins @ Steady Pace (RPE: 3)
20 Mins @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 4)

Rather than just head out and do 60 mins easy, this goes through the gears a little and will hopefully help you improve running economy as the speed picks up a little. It’s still a light session but makes the easy runs more interesting. Best done on the flat to hit consistent paces.

I know the temptation is there to do the 2nd AC track session. But the focus is on HHM at the moment. And if that’s the goal, our 2nd session in the week needs to be half marathon focused.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

Even before I got the text, I knew I shouldn’t have gone. But got carried away. Legs felt like lead overdone it! Lagged in the training! The session was hard 5×800 5×200. Won’t be doing this again! Need to listen to my body!

It’s easy to get carried away when things are going well. But that’s the time we just need to be careful and stay consistent. Remember what got you to this point. Smart, consistent training. That said if we learn from the mistakes then they can be a good reminder.
