60 Mins Easy (Hills)

LOAD: 24

60 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2-5)

60 mins on the flat is quite different to 60 mins on the hills. So it’s important to differentiate between the two and if you do a hilly easy run, to account for that extra training load and how it might impact the rest of your week.

Great to be back as an official LIRF again. Small but good group, felt ok but the knee is still annoying. Sports massage Friday will sort me. I do hope your recovery speeds up a little, it’s a tough lull after the marathon if you can get out.

Great to see you leading again and glad the DBS finally came through. Sorry to hear about the knee. I was a bit unfortunate and coaching and leading last week resulted in me just running too much and that caused the problem. I was fine after parkrun Saturday, but Sunday was overkill. To be honest I don’t mind if my running declines a little for a month or two. I’m keen to identify more as a coach going forward than a runner and if that means a slight hit to my own running I’m fine with that. I feel there’s a limitation to how good I can be as a runner, but no limitations to how good I can be as a coach and I’m always striving to be the best I can.
