7 x 1 Mile On/Off

LOAD: 440

1 Mile @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
1 Mile @ Marathon Pace
(RPE: 5-7)
x 7

So I’ve edited the plan, taken out Bewl, added in Henfield Half and it means we don’t need to be smashing out the half marathon sessions just yet. So hold back slightly and keep the pace down, this just adds a nice bit of variety to your Sunday long run, you can still hit the trails if you want, in which case focus on RPE rather than pace for the ON/OFF miles.

Nice run out rye nature reserve felt good for the most part fatigue set in a little towards the end but not surprised after the week I’ve had. Was a horrible head wind one way then way to hot the other way so not great conditions but it done now. Roll on next week.

Well done Steve. A little quick perhaps on the “Ons” hitting half marathon pace instead of marathon pace but if you felt good that’s fine. Just always be wary we don’t need to push too hard all the time. We’re in a spell in the training where the load is a little lower, so we can progress again and have you in peak shape come the FOD in September, rather than arrive at that stage feeling exhausted because you’ve trained really hard for 20 weeks in the build up. That said, super impressive pace.
