80 Mins

LOAD: 24

80 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Try and keep it easy. It all depends on your current level. If slowly adding time to your long run the last 10-20 mins might be tough. Focus on good form.

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

On paper looks smidge fast, but it actually felt really easy, fresh at end, pretty good pace for rpe3

The thing is, every day is different and why RPE is such a good measurement to use. I’ve had runs where I’m moving at 4:50/km and it feels effortless. Then a few days later I’m struggling and look at my watch and I’m going 6:00+ a km. It’s why it’s good not to obsess about pace on these runs and go to feel. Also not to be disappointed on the days it does feel tougher either and to cherish these ones. I do also think it’s a sign that your fitness is improving as well when the pace comes down but the RPE stays low.
