Barry Richards 10K

LOAD: 45

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
4-8 Strides x 100 Metres (RPE: 8)

10K @ 10K Pace (RPE: 7)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

An excellent opportunity to run a fast 10K. As with any 10k, be sure not to go off too fast, lots of the other runners will be, so settle into your target pace early on and then really dig deep after the turnaround.

You should be confident here are your recent training. No targets given it’s only week 1 in the plan but Victoria (also on the Team🍊) is likely to be your biggest challenge for the FV50 prize. You two are similar in terms of pace, so it might be a case of just keeping an eye on her if you’re keen to win that prize. Very best of luck Manami.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😬 Too fast

PACE

It was my first race in few months and actually I didn’t feel racing yet but I did. I ran with 2 fast girls and managed those hills and then my groin pain came back and stopped and stretched few times and then I decided to retire. I saw Sarah and ran with her on the way back and pain had gone. I enjoyed the run

Sorry to hear this didn’t go to plan but you did the right thing and the fact the groin pain eased off suggests it’s nothing too major. Just keep an eye on it going forward and perhaps not to push too hard in upcoming interval sessions. Lovely to see you there though Manami.
