90 Mins

LOAD: 27

90 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Keep this nice and easy. Focus on good form & efficient running economy. RPE should be around the 3/10 which means you can run and chat.

I’m on holiday in Wareham but managed to sneak out for 90mins! Felt great to run, but shin wasn’t good… Having said that, it felt slightly better by the end, and felt okay during a walk in the afternoon… Hoping I can just ignore it and it can gradually sort itself out…

I’ve had injuries (niggles) which do tend to be at their worst at the start of my runs. I appreciate every niggle is different, but like you say here, perhaps don’t judge anything until 20-30 mins into the run. Paul Lambert who you may or may not know had a real issue with his shin last year, but refused to give in to it and would be hobbling around post run which was silly. Eventually he paid for an MRI and got the all clear. It was only then that the shin pain seemed to clear up, but he never actually took any rest as such. It was odd and almost raised the question, why did the shin hurt 🤷‍♂️ Well done Anna for getting out there though whilst away. Lot of respect for that.
