Deload week has arrived at a good time! Today was awful. I am really struggling. Today I realised I’m tired, this time my head was saying you can my body was craving a sit down! Not 90mins. I listened to my body and cut a little short. Am very unhappy with myself currently. I so need a good run. I was hopeful yesterday would provide this… 😢😔

I was watching the TV show about the Kenyan lady going for a sub 4 min mile recently. Kipchoge was on their explaining how in his eyes, running is a team event, not a solo event. He says when you run on your own, the mind has to be constantly switched on and you need to stay focused. When running in a group you can switch off, follow those around you and just go with the flow. The point I’m making is the number of times you run solo makes the training a lot harder. I know it’s easier said than done for you to join the group runs, but if you can, and I think it would make a big difference, try and find the odd occasion where you can join in with others. Plus don’t be hard on yourself. Leave that for me, if I feel it’s needed. You’re just having a little blip at the moment, it will change if you stick with it.
