AC Track Session

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

Group session as instructed (RPE: 7-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Hastings AC have some really strong runners, so this is a very good session for sub 20 5k athletes. Tuesday’s they normally do longer reps and between 25-30 mins of running.

Well deserved recovery week.

PACE

2k warm up and then a session of 5 x 3 minutes and then 5 x 2 minutes. It’s a strange thought but not too long ago I was struggling to get round a lap of the track in 90 seconds, now I’m doing 85 seconds and under regularly. This was hard, the heat made it so much harder but my pace was strong, started to slip away in the 7th kilometre but to be honest with that pace and that heat I can’t be too annoyed!

You’ve made some excellent gains in the time we’ve been working together. And you’ve done that by being consistent over a period of time. Resting when need be, working hard when need be. And to be honest, have we really pushed your limits? Probably not. I think there is scope to work you a little bit harder and push those training pts up. But that’s a discussion for the end of this plan if you want to raise the bar further?
