Half/Mararathon Tempo

LOAD: 33

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

3 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
3 Miles @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

1 Mile CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good session to mix up paces. WU & CD very important to slowly build the pace.

Always a good session to combine with park run!

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

Very lucky to have Ben pace me. Maybe I’m optimistic. But I’m going to push for 6:10 half marathon pace and 6:40 marathon pace. I hit each of these today. By weekly mileage is now creeping in the right direction. I believe it’s fully within my capabilities. The session was great felt really strong and know soon 6:10 will feel very comfortable!!

So cool that Ben helped you out here. Paul Lambert was low 1:20s when he did Paddock Wood in the Spring and I think you’re pretty close to him now in terms of 5k time. Obviously Hastings is a different challenge but no reason why you can’t do these sessions at that pace and just see how the training unfolds. They are ambitious targets but it’s good to have lofty goals. Really well done on this session and glad you enjoyed it so much. Excellent running Jack.
