Barry Richards 10K

LOAD: 45

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
4-8 Strides x 100 Metres (RPE: 8)

10K @ 10K Pace (RPE: 7)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

An excellent opportunity to run a fast 10K. As with any 10k, be sure not to go off too fast, lots of the other runners will be, so settle into your target pace early on and then really dig deep after the turnaround.

No targets from me here, as it’s not really the main focus of this goal, but I want you to enter the race telling yourself that you’re running well right now, because you are. Run tall and proud, work hard and remember, it is a race, so if you can catch that person in front, then do exactly that. Very best of luck Su. You got this.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Felt so tired on the drive over, but seemed to overcome it and put in a good effort, with a 3rd fastest 10 k, 3 min faster than 2023 so course PB, can’t find last years, but thought I’d done it, maybe I was away🤔. A good confidence booster, pace around the 9:30 mark.

Fantastic. To still be running at this high level despite your problems is testament to your commitment to your fitness. You should be really proud of yourself and to come in under the hour in those conditions as well is great. Awesome running Su. I couldn’t see you on last years results either.
