Bewl 15

LOAD: 70

15 Miles @ Goal Pace (RPE: 4-8)

A tough race with some tricky hills at the end. The main decision here is whether it’s going to be an easy long run or a hard race?

I’ve left the plan blank for your trip. Obviously by all means get out and swim, exercise, run, just perhaps keep it all in moderation with this event in mind as it’s a tough one, even if going at a gentle pace. Very best of luck Su. Hope you return from a wonderful break and have a fantastic race.

First 10 miles were good, Sue A and I kept each other going and stuck together for this one. We’d gone in trails after last year, but there was no need, which didn’t help. Fatigue, heat etc crept in and the last mile I struggled to breath, felt dizzy and sick… but we got to the end! ( Although recovery was slow and included Andy pulling over for me to be sick 🤷‍♀️) I may skip this one next year 😆😆

Really well done Su. I think we forget sometimes about the impact the heat can have, especially when it’s such a long time out there on feet. Sorry to hear you felt sick, but it’s another medal for the collection and the fact you can still get round the 15 miles is impressive. Lots of positives to take.
