15 Miles @ Goal Pace (RPE: 4-8)

A tough race with some tricky hills at the end. The main decision here is whether it’s going to be an easy long run or a hard race?

Do you remember your first race at the Barry Richards all those years ago and how good it felt to do 6 miles? So regardless of the time this takes, you’ve still come a long way to be able to sign up to a race of this length. Walking the hills is strategic and in no way a failure. The best ultra runners in the World walk hills. So keep that positivity, even if the pace feels slow and you need to walk at times. 15 miles is still an excellent achievement. You’re the first person to use my new feedback form. Thank you Lou. So many people struggled. I think it’s important not to reflect too much on the race or time and just be pleased you can do 15 miles. Always good to try and take the positives. Now we can crack on with the new plan.
