If the wind is kind then these events offer a good opportunity for a fast time. There are several switchbacks which can slow you down.

See this as a training run. Not one to be chasing a time given the recent training disruption. Obviously still work hard but don’t focus on pace or time.

I wanted a 21:30 and got it, ran alongside a lady for around 2.5-3k, we pushed each other, she then sped off but with my push at the end she was only 8 seconds ahead of me at the finish! She sent me a thanks via strava ❤️
