Bexhill 5K

LOAD: 25

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5K Pace (RPE: 6-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

If the wind is kind then these events offer a good opportunity for a fast time. There are several switchbacks which can slow you down.

Hopefully the wind is kind!! Very best of luck, perhaps approach this with slightly lower expectations after the festival weekend, but that’s not to say you’re not still in top shape and can’t run a very quick race here.

Not in my best form at the moment but the recent past shows that sticking up the plan will give me the benefits

Exactly that. Important to remember the recent 10k PB. Since then you’ve been pushed really hard at work, had some downtime. To be honest you can’t be running your best all your time, if you peak a few times each year and hit the targets that’s all you need. I think there was a 7 month gap for me last year between PBs from my parkrun in July to my half marathon in March. And both of them were only small improvements. So keep sticking to the plan and working hard when need be and that form will return. Hopefully for the 7th September.
