I was meant to be doing hyrox this morning but I was up half the night with this sciatic nerve pain. I knew I wouldn’t be able to do a whole class so I popped down to falaise to do something a bit less strenuous. Been ages since I’ve been on a Friday morning so was really nice to see all the old gang. My arm strength has completely gone though! But I didn’t want to push it so just stuck with what I could lift rather than going overboard

Sorry to hear about the sciatic nerve pain. I’ve had that before a long time ago and I know how horrible it can be. That was why I started stretching everyday in the first place and I had it in my early 20s. Sounds like a much more sensible approach in the gym today. I feel like gyms do encourage that “all in, push to the limit” mentality a bit too much. Where as I’m a great believer in small gains over a longer period of time. I want to be doing S&C of some sorts for the next 30 years so important I don’t push my body too hard now. Hope the pain goes soon and well done for getting in the gym.
