3 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)

A good session to mix up paces. WU & CD very important to slowly build the pace.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

MP miles were 7:10. HMP miles were 6:40. Both give or take a second or 2. I’ve suddenly become a runner that can pace themself quite well…about bloody time😂. The new Magic Speeds are lovely. One down side is my right hip is very painful. It started on the way home from work, so it wasn’t sure whether to do the session. Was fine while I was running, but now I’ve stopped it kills. Great session though. Enjoyed that one

Excellent pacing Joe. It’s a real skill and once you nail it, races are so much more enjoyable and as you’ve experienced times will be better too. Sorry to hear about the hip. Probably the combination of the long run Sunday and this session. Time for a bit of rest perhaps and a slight adjustment in training pts. It can be a fine line sometimes, but pain like this is a sign we are pushing a bit too hard.
