Half/Marathon 6 Mile Tempo

LOAD: 330

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

3 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
3 Miles @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

1 Mile CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good session to mix up paces. WU & CD very important to slowly build the pace.

I promise this isn’t purely selfish. But I know you enjoy pacing, so this is an opportunity for you to get some marathon miles in and pace at parkrun. Do you ever run with a cap?

Did the mile warm up and some strides, didn’t do the first 5k, but paced 20 and if the course was exactly 5k I would have come in at exactly 20! Splits were perfect felt comfortable. I’d really like to get a good group next month to do this, I know Kev Davis is keen and a few others! didn’t manage to do the warm down but I had a lot of barcode scanning and token sorting to do! So opted for a four mile dog walk to keep the blood flowing to the legs .

Thanks Jack, really appreciate the help and support again. I know Conal is keen for a sub 20. Kev needs pacing as he always goes off too fast 😂 No worries on the missed miles, as I said before, this stage of the plan is all about maintenance rather than progression and I feel like it’s going well as we close in on Milton Keynes.
