A really good session to do as a group the week in the lead up to a half marathon. It gives you an opportunity to run a few miles at goal pace and also get some speed in the legs.

So glad to hear. Looking strong as well. One thing I often compare half marathon racing too is like driving down the motorway. At times it can be stressful with overtaking, moving from lane to lane, your mph changing constantly. So what I do in that scenario is try and find a car driving at the same pace as me and I just follow them. When they overtake, I overtake, when they change lanes, I change lanes. I do the same in a half marathon. Once the race settles down, probably around Harley Shute area, I’ll try and find someone running at my pace, there might be a few, it might even be the 110 min pacer, and then what I can do is mentally switch off and relax and just follow them. From time to time I’ll glance at my speedometer (watch) just to make sure they’ve not put their foot on the accelerator a bit harder, but it’s a good way to approach it.
