Half/Mararathon Tempo

LOAD: 33

1 Mile WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

3 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 5)
3 Miles @ Half Marathon Pace (RPE: 6)

1 Mile CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A good session to mix up paces. WU & CD very important to slowly build the pace.

If you can do Saturday morning combining this with parkrun would be ideal then the 2nd 3 mile section would be with lots of people.

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

Enjoyed today managed to join in park run just! as it started just as I hit the back of the crowd so it was tricky getting up to half marathon pace as it’s so busy and being at the back but still great to run with lots of people. Need to pay more attention to my stretching and hydration. Legs were so much better today and caused no probs. Been drinking electrolyte drinks since Wed and the improvement has been amazing so hopefully that was the cause. Not stretching after Barry Richard’s prob didn’t help either.

Great work Dan and lovely to see. It was nice how positive you were after the run and as a coach that’s really lifting. The electrolytes can help, especially at this time of year when it’s warm, and the stretching is key really. Fingers crossed you have found the solution. Some fatigue and aches are normal but it did sound yours were worse last week. But excellent running here and lots of positives to take.
