5 miles is a really tough distance to get right. Rest assured, this is tough. The first mile is so important, don’t go off too quick and you’ll set yourself up for a strong race.

I think the fact you’re now challenging some of the quicker female runners in the club is further testament to how far you have come. So that’s the goal here. As many HR pts as you can. If there’s a green and black vest ahead, grit your teeth and catch them up, especially if it’s Sarah Bendle πŸ˜‚ Another good opportunity for a PB though and my trusty pace sheet is telling me 7:30 pace is a good target for this one. Try not to go off quicker than that so you can finish strongly and overtake some runners in the final mile. Very best of luck. You got this.

Actually enjoyed this race until the very end. Ran majority of it with Sarah which helped alot. Could of possibly saved energy by not saying well done to every other HR member that we saw πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚ Was out the night before til gone 1am so wasn’t sure how this was actually going to plan out as felt a little delicate. But very happy with that time. Definitely won’t be pushing again like that aftwr a night out as only just made it across the finish before throwing up πŸ˜†

I’ve had lots of people mention your name since Sunday morning. “How well is Lindsey running”…..”Did you see Lindsey’s pace?”……”Lindsey wasn’t far behind Claire”….. So you keep making people take note. Keep up the great work.
