Hastings Half Marathon

LOAD: 66

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

13.1 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 6)

The big one!! For most of us at least. Try to have a clear pacing strategy and don’t go off too fast. The early hills will be tough, but if you dig deep and don’t panic, it’s gets easier once you hit the ridge. Go smash it!

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

👊 Nailed my target

PACE

I had in my head A to just aim for anything under 1:50 and B if I wasnt feeling it anything under 2! From the start I felt good kept it controlled up the hills to not burn myself out, and then just kept going. Normally I hate queens way but for some reason this year it was over so quickly. From start to finish I loved it all. Chatted to different runners going round so was lovely to meet new faces and the crowds were fantastic! Nee half PB! And 17 minutes quicker than last year so pleased with that.

Love this feedback. Really pleased you enjoyed it so much as that should always be the main focus, but to also clock a new PB as well, Wow. That’s an amazing improvement in 18 months and again just highlights the importance of consistency. I can’t really think of a time during the last year where you’ve missed a chunk of the plan. And there lies the reason for your success. You should be super proud of what you’ve achieved in that spell, and hopefully the hunger remains to keep pushing. Awesome work Lindsey.
