Kings Head Canter

LOAD: 25

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

5km @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Not really a PB course with kilometres 2, 3 and 4 all gentle uphill before a downhill finish. A great event though with a lovely atmosphere at the finish. It’s a point to point so plan where you are going to park.

No targets, no expectations, just go and enjoy yourself and finish strongly in that last km. Have a great race Andy and very best of luck.

🤬 Way off pace today

Very disappointing race. Didn’t get off to a good start when picking up my number to be told they’d sold it to someone else as I was late at 10.38! Anyway, set off with new number on a very congested course with lots of potholes, very hot and unforgiving elevation. Enthusiasm went out the door very quickly and it was just a case of getting to the end and getting lunch which was the best part of the day. Won’t be doing this race again.

The lunch is great. Partly why we love it. As for selling your number. WTAF??? I’ve never heard that before and that’s bang out of order. Especially in a point to point race where lots of people have to walk 3+ km to the start. 10:55?? Perhaps, but even then, they shouldn’t do that. Not impressed. With the heat and elevation it was a tricky race. I think just one to tick off, move on and I can understand why you won’t be doing it again. I’m surprised as the bloke who runs it is a really nice guy. We all make mistakes I guess.
