A great event where you take part in teams running a total of around 6km. A good replacement for a weekly efforts.

Pacing is a real skill in running and knowing what pace to run for each distance can make a huge difference. Based on your current 5k time I would recommend somewhere around the 4:30-4:40 per km would be a good target here. Then if you feel strong in the final push before the changeover that would be the time to go quicker. What you want to avoid is setting off at say 4:10 and running out of steam. But it’s a really good event and I’m delighted you have got the opportunity to represent the club. Very best of luck Victoria.
