parkrun

LOAD: 250

15 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

I always like the idea of doing two 5k’s in quick succession. You have that feeling of what it takes to dig deep and run a good time. If Wednesday went well we could even go for a parkrun PB here

Target time: 26:45 Target Pace: 5:21

Flipping heck, that did not go to plan. I think I need to run in actual daytime more!!!! That was warm today! Also I didn’t take my water…. My naughty foot was sore, but am seeing someone tomorrow Evening. Also cross because i stupidly stopped a couple of times. Ffs kirsty 😞

It’s been a busy week. Sometimes 2 quick 5ks in a week works really well for some runners, other times it can be detrimental. It’s always a learning curve and perhaps for yourself it was just the wrong planning on my part. But that’s ok. We can learn from that and change the schedule slightly next time. Sounds like you still put in a good effort which is the most important thing from a training perspective.
