parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

What a great run today! Paced by Ben so can’t take all the credit! 1 minute 20 seconds off this year’s fastest time this year! It can’t go better than that! It’s good to see the missed runs haven’t affected anything! Felt quite fast today but manageable! Breathing wasn’t too bad either! Weird since I really struggled with breathing on my weds run? Couldn’t be happier with this time! Just might be hard to beat next time!

Fantastic and so pleased to see you continue to make improvements. That shows what a consistent plan can do and we continue to progress with the training these parkrun times should in theory continue to edge down. Although don’t be surprised if we do have a few weeks where the time goes up again, as obviously that’s a big chunk of this years best time. But fantastic running Lucy. It was great at the beginning when it was pretty much just you and me warming up. It just highlights that we are working harder and training smarter than the majority of runners and that’s why ultimately we will get the results. Have a fab weekend.
