parkrun

LOAD: 30

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

ENJOYMENT

RPE

😁 Good pace given the conditions/route

PACE

I didn’t have enough time to do 8 x 100m before parkrun. I was told that I had only 3 minutes to start by Amy 😳 I rushed to the start line and started… I went off a little too fast for me. I didn’t get a good rhythm the whole way. I didn’t know what I was doing but looks like I picked up the pace in the end. I’m happy with the pace….. actually I expected doing a little better than that but never mind.

It can take a bit of practice to get the timing right for a warm up. If I have strides in my plan I will start my easy jog as early as 8:20, to make sure I have plenty of time to fit everything in. You are very close to your parkrun PB and sounds like a slightly better pace strategy could be all you need to achieve that. So lots of positives to takes and a few things to learn for next time as well. Great work Manami.
