parkrun

LOAD: 250

15 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

parkrun @ 5km Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Running with others can reduce perceived effort so parkrun is a good option as an alternative speed session. 10 mins easy WU & CD please.

Making the most of your good form right now by smashing out another quick parkrun. Hopefully lots of the quicker runners will have marathon hangovers and be resting up.

I’m pleased that I’m now at the point where I’m disappointed with 17:30… went off too quick for how my body was feeling. Got caught out in km 3&4.

I really like that mentality. Taking a negative and turning into a positive. The more I analysis race results the more I come to the conclusion the first 20% any distance is often the most important. Get that first 20% wrong and go off too quick and it will go pear shaped. Hold back in that first 20% and you’ll far more likely to run a good race. Plus I think the longer the distance the more this applies, especially the marathon. Still a good time though. Well done Fin.
