Romney 10K

LOAD: 40

2km WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)
8 x 100 metre Strides (RPE: 8)
60s Recoveries

10km @ 10k Pace (RPE: 6-9)

2km CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

A fast flat course, offering up a good opportunity to run a good time. Try and be consistent with your pace and dig deep in the 2nd half of the race.

My trusty pace sheet predicts 37:41 for 10K 😉 Obviously that is well under the goal target. So perhaps start off (6:15s) and then if you feel strong at the end, produce a strong finish. But very best of luck, as we know with Brighton Marathon, nothing is ever guaranteed in running, you still have to go out there and work hard. But you should be confident of a good result here. Good luck Jack.

I could sit and dwell on the fall but I don’t need to. Massively proud of this performance. The fact that I’m even close to extremely good runners now shows I’m constantly improving. I paced this to perfection and enjoyed 90% of this! To get a massive pb is the icing on the cake! Thanks for all your help. Wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am without your help and support. I’m constantly learning which means I’m constantly improving!

Superb! It’s been so much fun for me working with you. Your desire and commitment is superb. What pleases me the most is how you’ve bounced back from the disappointment at Brighton Marathon and gone on to achieve so much since then. You should be really proud of yourself Jack!! Hopefully we can keep seeing those small gains and closing the gap on some of those runners ahead.
