Long Run – 120 Mins

LOAD: 35

120 Mins @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3-5)

2 hours is a long time to run and it’s likely it will get tough in the last 30 mins. So dig deep, focus on good form and keep going. You got this!

Target Time: 47:15 Target Pace: 7:36

FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

🙄 Just a fraction slow

PACE

Completed the 10k New Romney, tried to concentrate on a good pace so started slowly and then tried to speed up as the race progressed. Finished comfortably and felt comfortable throughout just maybe was a tad slower than usual but otherwise all ok and it was boiling 🥵 think I finished on 50 mins but I couldn’t turn my strava off as slippery hands 🤣

Glad you enjoyed this one. Tough in that heat. I think this early in the training, it’s still a case of learning what pace you can do certain distances and how hard you can push. So sounds like you too the right approach and will definitely have benefitted you from a training perspective, especially in those conditions. Plenty more opportunities to put the hammer down a bit harder in future races. Well done Dan.
