Rye 10

LOAD: 600

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 5-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

With the hills, I’ve found half marathon pace is the best we can hope for here, but obviously that will fluctuate greatly depending on the section you are on. Dig deep up the hills and focus on good form.

No pressure here, really early in the plan still and a bonus race almost. Treat it as your Sunday long run. That’s the reason I’ve not set any target times or pace, it’s too early for me to be doing that. It should be a fun day though with so many of the team in action.

Thought I had put my feedback for the 10 miler but I obviously didn’t 🤦🏽‍♀️ I quite enjoyed this race and as I had no target there was no pressure! Did enjoy the sprint finish too 😊 Just realised I put my feedback on the 5 miler that I haven’t done yet 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

Oops. No worries. Really pleased you enjoyed this. Sometimes it’s good to approach a race like this with no pressure. We don’t always have to push our hardest in races and sometimes it’s wise to use them as training runs. Great effort and good to have you involved in the races too. These will definitely push the fitness up a notch, especially with all those damn hills. Roll on Hastings seafront this weekend.
