HR Spring 5K

LOAD: 250

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

In Bexhill now. Fast flat route. Ideal for a quick time. Pace yourself at the start and then in those final few kms try and beat those ahead of you and not be overtaken.

Hopefully come into this feeling a bit fresher after a few days off. No pressure here, no expectations, just enjoy being part of a brilliant club and of course a fantastic team. If you try hard that’s all you can ask for. Someone like Mark is a good pacer for you. If he’s just in front you know you’ve not gone off too quick, then you can finish strongly and run a good time. Good Luck Lou.

I’ve put the feedback on strides! You’re definitely right, I’ve lost some of my momentum because of having the bad hip . It’s made me a bit nervous too but I made a good effort at the park run and ran that fastest this year, though no pb.

Sorry, think I wrote the same thing again regarding the hip on the parkrun feedback. I just wanted to make sure you were not being hard on yourself as you’ve been working hard since we teamed up. Sometimes the progress is never linear, but stick with it and I’m confident these times will come down.
