HR Spring 5K

LOAD: 250

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

5K @ 5k Pace (RPE: 8)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

In Bexhill now. Fast flat route. Ideal for a quick time. Pace yourself at the start and then in those final few kms try and beat those ahead of you and not be overtaken.

I know there’s a big one in there. But no need for me to add any pressure or expectations with a target time. You know what’s possible. Keep it steady for 3km, then just switch into race mode, ignore the watch, try to catch those in front and DO NOT let those behind catch you. Very best of luck, just remind yourself how well you’ve running right now and go smash this.

Happy to get under 21 mins again but know I have more to give I was honestly disappointed not to be able to keep up with Matthew

That’s another strong time. I think having that motivation to beat others is good and will hopefully fuel the fire. He’s done great to be fair and just coming off the back of his marathon, so I’m not too surprised to see him clock those times. You’ll have him next time though. Well done Michael.
