FEEDBACK

ENJOYMENT

RPE

PACE

Sort of did them, though a bit of general pre race distraction and so on… then I veered off to my car and got knocked down by an e-bike going mega fast! Not sure you knew about that one- ir was quite a dramatic high speed crash but luckily he was okay apart from shredded hands and a broken phone holder on his bike, and I managed some unexpectedly skilled fall and somehow got up unhurt… Anyway, lovely people around to help scoop the guy up and check me over… and maybe the adrenaline helped me run! 🤣

As mentioned on the race feedback these things happen. Those ebikes go way too fast along the prom. They should be on road if going that fast. The delivery ones that tear along Hastings seafront are going to do some serious damage one day. It was kind of you all to look after him, with so many hands on board I decided I couldn’t add any further help so stayed clear. Just one of these things, hopefully it will teach him to slow down and give people a wider berth. It could have been a young child for instance.
