Christmas Pudding Dash

Race

Session Details πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Training Load: 150

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

4 Miles @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

SUMMARY πŸ“

A fun event but the course is very challenging with lots of elevation and can be very muddy. Be sure to have trail shoes on and take spare clothes for after the race. Definitely not a race to go chasing a time or worrying about your pace.

COACH SIMON NOTES 🍊

I can’t really take this event seriously from a coach perspective. It’s a great event but it’s more about dressing up and celebrating Christmas than actually chasing a time or prize.

Hence why I have given it such a low training load as the majority of my runners who have done this in the past have worn fancy dressed and how can I phrase it? Taken bloody ages to run 4-5 miles πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

If you don’t like cross country, the trails or mud, this is not a race for you. All of them will be included, plus some challenging hills.

A few of my team have pushed hard, and if you do want to race it, then fair play but you may get some strange looks from the majority of the field in their Christmas outfits.

I’ll leave it there I think. Not one for me personally, but I can see the appeal.
