Loch Ness Marathon

Race

Session Details πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Training Load: 1050

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

26.2 Miles @ Marathon Pace (RPE: 4-8)

SUMMARY πŸ“

A very popular point to point marathon that is downhill but not without it’s challenges in terms of elevation, especially in the latter stages.

COACH SIMON NOTES 🍊

Definitely a marathon on my wish list. I’ve heard excellent things about this race from fellow Hastings Runners that have taken part. The fact a large part of the route is downhill is certainly a selling point.

Running alongside the Loch offers plenty of appeal and it’s clearly a well attended event with over 2,500 finishers in 2022.

As with any marathon it’s important that your preparation is good. If you want help with a training plan then sign up to Team Orange and I can create you a bespoke marathon plan to get you ready for the Loch Ness Marathon.

Marathon training plans are normally between 16-20 weeks long. I can also offer race strategy to help you achieve your goals and cross that finish line feeling strong and proud of your achievements.

I hope to be able to give this marathon a go one day and witness the views that other members have raved about from their experiences.
