Plan 1 – Week 10

  • 25th August 2025

Overall happy with this week’s training. Had some off days but managed to complete the sessions.
Happy with next week’s training. I will have to move the sessions around a little to accommodate life again. My daughter starts college and I have a conference in Brighton on Friday for example.
I don’t want to do Battle 10k. I don’t feel race ready. Apart from London marathon last year (which I don’t count) I haven’t raced since 2018 and this makes me very nervous of racing again.

No injury issues

COACH

Another excellent week and really well done on completing all the sessions. It feels like to me that we are starting to make progress now having laid down some really strong foundations. No worries about Battle, I just wanted to mention it, in case you then saw me saying how great the Team did and might have felt a bit alienated. I totally get the race anxiety and no hurry to get you racing again. Keep building up that fitness and confidence, then we can think about that. But awesome work Lou and so pleased you are injury free right now. Long may that continue.
