Plan 1 – Week 22

Nice Taper week although didn’t reach my sub 2 hour target. Feeling disappointed but I felt I truly worked hard to try and achieve it.
On reflection I was too quick at the start, following the pacer and I just couldn’t find the strength mentally or physically to keep up. Unfortunately , I lost the people around me and ended up running alone for about half the race on my own. On a positive note I know I pushed myself I just didn’t have it in me to push through those 3 short minutes!!

Achy!!

COACH

Sorry it didn’t quite work out on race day but conditions were tough. We’ve definitely seen signs of improvement though and that 5k time has improved in recent months. So don’t be too disheartened. I’ll reach out privately just to check in on your plans going forward. You might find after a break from the long runs you want to have another crack in the future. But for now we can park that idea.
