Plan 1 – Week 3

  • Oct 6-12

Disappointing week for me due to man flu ruining most of it.

Tuesday easy run was fine but felt like I was coming down with something.

Wednesday session I got it done in the dark alone, hit some good pace but could tell again I was coming down with something.

Thursday was a good run and thought I has missed the man flu.

Friday BAM, man flu hit and felt like shit.

Saturday I really wanted to give the XC a good go after not really racing Cardiff. I ran in the hope I might do well but felt exhausted. Not my finest effort but got it done.

Sunday the great eastern was okay and got my sister to a PB. Enjoyed the event but sometimes running slower than your normal gait is actually harder.

A good rest today and we go again tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon.

COACH

To be honest, given you were feeling shit, to hit pretty much your target for the week in terms of training is hugely impressive. Would have been easy just to scrap the whole weekend and go backwards a step, but you did really well to dig deep at get those sessions done. I’m impressed. I just hope you feel better soon and this week is more enjoyable. Great work Dan.
