Plan 2 – Week 10

  • Oct 6-12

Solid week no injuries still building foundations. Ran Sundays race as you wanted β€œ enjoy it and anything under sub40 being a good time given the early hills”. I definitely ran it conservative as didnt come over the finish line hanging. A very busy one with about 1000ppl i think, worth a look next year.

No injury issues

COACH

To get that close to your PB and feel strong at the end is a great sign that you’re running at a decent level right now. It looked like a good race (saw the vlog from the Geordie guy) so definitely one I would like to do at some stage. Maidstone Half ties in nicely with the training. My advice would be look back at the Folkestone race and use the mistakes there to run a better race Sunday. Perhaps go off a bit more conservatively, so rather than fade, start to finish strongly. Again I’m not that worried about time, I much rather you go off a touch slower, finish well, and run a solid race. Happy to discuss pacing if you want for that one. I’ll have a look for a November race. It’s not essential in truth, the most important thing for me is we continue to see that progress and I think Sunday highlights we are on track.
