Plan 2 – Week 11

Have been poorly over the last week, didn’t even make it to parkrun so it has been a particularly rubbish lead up to the GNR. Feeling better today so at the moment I am planning to get to Claremont (my new run club) for the short steady run.

Everything else looks ok this week, the GNR for me will probably always just be a steady plod, I always have a starting pen that’s too far back to attempt to race it, it’s so crowded and usually takes at least an hour to cross the start line after the elites have gone off. I’m hoping to just enjoy the atmosphere on Sunday and get to the end without feeling knackered.

Thanks for the feedback Sarah. So sorry to hear you’ve not been feeling well. But glad you are on the mend. Much better it happened last week than this so you get to do the Great North Run. I think that’s a good attitude Sunday, just go out and enjoy it. It’s a pretty special event to be part of, they make the most of it. Hopefully this week will be much better and Sunday will go well. You got this.
