Plan 4 – Week 12

Feeling good and bounced back better than expected later in the week after the sickness – looking to put another solid week in this week.

By the way – im not 100% sure i will do manchester but the main goal will be hastings half now and running hard for a position and beat my course pb – currently 01:21:06 – Think this goal motivates me more to be honest.

No injury issues

COACH

Glad you are feeling better and thanks for the feedback. I appreciate this week was slightly different in that you were coming back from the illness but I just wanted to point out what I noticed. And ultimately that would be we need to ensure we get those key sessions ticked off, that’s where the magic happens. So for me last week, there were too many easy miles. 95km for the week looks good on Strava but the reality was only 13km of that was real quality work. As I say I don’t want to criticise this week as you have been poorly but if you continued with that sort of inbalance, then despite racking up decent mileage you’ll probably find your race times slow down a little. So try and keep yourself well rested for the important sessions and hit them hard.
