Plan 5 – Week 13

  • Oct 6-12

I took Thursday off to work on the house, which was exhausting in itself, then had the bright idea of loading the skip in the evening into the darkness… got it done, but I was f*cked and it was dinner time when I finally finished.

Trip to Stoke on Friday didn’t allow any time for a run, we were meeting family soon after we arrived and were busy all day Saturday so no chance for a HM session either.

I got 2 decent runs in so not feeling like I’m doing nothing…

Quick-lived hip ache 5k into a 11k run, not going fast. Felt pretty sore for about 30s then faded and didn’t come back. Phew.

COACH

As I said on the session feedback this recent block of yours has opened my eyes a little to a slight change in approach. The fact you’ve continued to perform so well in races despite the drop in training. My concern is that it might be slightly impacting your fitness ahead, but we can worry about that we devise the next plan and once the races thin out, and hopefully they come and pick that darn skip up, you’ll have more time to train πŸ’ͺ😁
