Plan 6 – Week 11

  • 25th August 2025

It’s been a slightly frustrating week. When everything starts to feel a bit better, it all falls apart again. I’m trying my best to remain positive and getting lots of extra stretching in before the weekend. I’m feeling a lot less fatigued today than I did over the weekend. It’s frustrating but I feel I did the right thing to listen to my body so I can start the race on Sunday as comfortable as possible. My plan is just to enjoy it so taking all the pressure off myself.

I always feel disappointed when I’ve had to miss a session but hopefully won’t impact things too much.

Like last week it’s more a discomfort than pain. I can only describe it as feeling like the right had side of my back is being wrung out like a wet towel…which causes random nerve pinching and sensations.

SUMMARY

COACH

Actually a lot better than first expected with the missed long run. With the extra bits in there (strides for example) you hit 92% of your training pts target for the week. This is why I like this weekly feedback as I’m looking much closer at your training than ever before. Missing a 2 hour long run would normally feel like a bit of a setback, but given the added stresses you mentioned, had you attempted that, we would have over trained for the week and then knows what could have happened. So I’m happy with that training load and just hope you feel a bit better come Sunday. Well done Alice.
