Plan 6 – Week 13

  • 8th - 14th September

Really enjoyable week. Felt much stronger with my running than I have done recently. A lot more relaxed. I had a good session with the PT doing my movement coaching and notice some imbalances. My injured right hand side is so fight in comparison to the left and I really struggled with any of the drills we tried with side movement. There very little movement in my in my torso and generally my body doesn’t like side motion…makes sense as I really avoid anything like side planks/lateral lunges.Β  He gave me an exercise that is so tough. I’ve never seen it before and the next day my glutes and core were burning. If he sends over a video I’ll forward for you. Once of those that looks like nothing but is very humbling.

Feeling like progress is slowly being made with injury.

COACH

Brilliant week Alice. So pleased you are feeling good. I love the fact you are seeking those answers and yes please send over the video of the exercise. I find when I do my warm ups and do the lateral movements such as side skips and grapevine it can be quite painful, so would be intrigued to hear solutions as it could also help me. But it’s good that you’re in decent shape heading into the key part of the season.
