Plan 8 – Week 4

  • 25th August 2025

As you know the week didnโ€™t start particularly well at the Kings ahead Canter but it did improve somewhat. On reflection the Canter was a reasonable run in very hot conditions. Although only very brief there were 4 or 5 walks which although necessary at the time they were also annoying. Still, moving on I did the S & C although it had to be moved to Friday but was a solid session and once itโ€™s done then I feel a whole lot better ๐Ÿ˜Š Thursdays Bimble put my head in a lot better place and was really enjoyable and was a good reset run. Saturdays 75 minutes was another confidence booster that rounded the week off nicely for me and makes me think that next weekโ€™s Battle 10k could well be productive hopefully ๐Ÿคž

No injury issues

COACH

Really pleased it turned into a positive week and I think at this stage of the plan and the recover it’s important to head to Battle with no expectations and lots of gratitude for just being able to take part. It’s still going to be tough, because those hills are and there will be points you’ll need to work hard, but hopefully the confidence is such you can push through those and run a good race. I’m pleased with how the return to training is going right now and this plan was always about getting back into good routines rather than pushing too hard. Happy birthday for Monday as well.
