A relatively comfortable marathon session. An early opportunity to get comfortable running at your goal marathon pace.

I know you’ve done this a few times during the block but Bewl obviously hindered the pace. A chance to get back into the groove. I’ve put it Saturday so you can do the last rep as park run. Sunday a suitable alternative though.

Had a bit of a timing nightmare here! So did 1 x 5k one mile rolling and then another 5k marathon pace. When I say marathon pace I know I run abit faster (but on the day this will help because I’ll slow down!) then I did parkrun at half pace. Felt strong at points. Deliberately did this without feeling to see what my body could do. I’m really happy with this. Going to do four recovery miles tomorrow and tick everything over! Also last time I did a marathon it took nearly 4 months to drop back under 20, it took six days here!

I think this worked well right? Just kind of the load we wanted. Get some confidence back without risking injury. I’m happy with how your bounced back this week. I don’t know if you follow golf, but ever there is a lesson to be learned in life about keep trying, even when you keep missing out, then Rory Mcilroy is as an example as you will find in sport. Great stuff Jack.
