Rye 10

LOAD: 600

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 2)

10 Miles @ HM Pace (RPE: 5-9)

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

With the hills, I’ve found half marathon pace is the best we can hope for here, but obviously that will fluctuate greatly depending on the section you are on. Dig deep up the hills and focus on good form.

Week 1 of a new plan, so sometimes it’s important to approach a race like this without any real targets or time in mind. It can take the pressure off. The only real goal here should be to try and beat as many HR ladies as possible to secure some decent Club Championship points. Very best of luck. I’ll be there marshalling this year so offering some support to the Team on the course.

They wasnt lying about those hills!! It was tough. First race after London and being ill the beginning of the week and having issues with me knee I wasn’t sure I even going to be turning up so to run the time I did I was very pleased! Wouldn’t say its up there on my top 10 runs though 😆

It’s a real shit of a race this one. Just relentless. Just when you think you might get a nice flat stretch, the next hill starts. Given the circumstances you did great and I think a lesson learned too, just have a little glance over your shoulder as you get close to the finish line. Hopefully later in the year you can return the favour and pip Sarah on the line. Awesome running Lindsey and congrats on the PB.
