8 x 2 Mins Hill Reps

LOAD: 29

10 Mins WU @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

2 Mins Uphill (RPE: 8)
3 Mins Downhill @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)
x8

10 Mins CD @ Easy Pace (RPE: 3)

Big session this! But ideal if you have a hilly race coming up. Focus on good form and don’t go off too hard in rep 1, let the hill make it tough. Good luck! You got this. Run tall & proud.

If you do fancy this, my suggestion would be focus more on form that speed. No need to push as hard as you would if training for a 5k PB. Just be consistent. Speaking of hills, I still have the Alan Corke in the plan. I intend to attempt both, but whether it’s wise or not is another matter.

Keeping the effort low (ish) meant this was less dreadful than usual. I was working but well within my limits so it was reasonably relaxed as well as a good workout. I made it to exactly the same point just past your favourite lamppost each rep! Saved enough for a decent last push at the end. No niggles, good grip with the Pumas!

Sounds like the right effort given the place we are in the training right now. I think learning when to push and when to keep it steady is very important and we seem to have the right blend at the moment. At least results suggest that. Those pumas are great in those conditions. Excellent work Sam.
