Training Plan 11? That’s amazing and thank you so much for your continued support. Hopefully we can get you back to running your best again after the recent issues. Whilst it was scary, it’s somewhat reassuring to know there was a reason for your dip in form, and fingers crossed you now have the solutions.
In terms of this plan, the main focus is the Great South Run which is 11 weeks away. I’ve included the other races but they are quite soon, so not a great deal of time to build the fitness up.
I’ve tweaked the S&C to what I feel is a better more rounded workout now and been sensible with the training points target as not to overdo it.
There will be plenty of time after this plan to start building the fitness again and hopefully come the Spring you’ll be running as well as you were this time last year.
It’s a similar pattern with the Wednesday easy runs, Tuesday efforts (great you can now do these on a regular basis) and the Sunday long run.
There’s always potential to squeeze an easy parkrun in there too and towards the end of this training plan, park run will be a weekly event. I just wanted to be cautious to begin with plus you have 4 races in the first 6 weeks of this plan.
As always there is complete flexibility to how you schedule your weeks and if you ever wanted to do a track session (Monday evening or Tuesday morning) we can always include that.
Let’s hope we can get you back heading in the right direction again and enjoying your running, as that’s the most important thing at the end of the day.
Let’s go Sue!!
